Kristen Stewart On Vogue!

When I was a teen I brought Vogue every month! It's weird to think back now because I was so not into fashion and still could care less about labels or the latest fad. It cost an arm and a leg for a teen not working back then but it was the must have for me. Seventeen was never my thing!

It seems to have come full circle for me with Kristen on the cover. She is the quintessential girl! The typical girl. She is me back in the day. Well, without the perfection of her face. I felt awkward, odd, uncomfortable in my skin, which is what she appears to be to me.

Having Kristen on the cover if I were a teenager would have been the ultimate! She was how I felt about myself.  She looks amazing but we all know she feels awkward and dorky. Exactly how I felt as a teen buying Vogue every month! You rock Kristen!

Beverly Hills, CA – Jan. 17, 2011 – Australian film and TV actor Liam McIntyre has excelled at a grueling and rigorous audition process to claim the title role in the second season of Starz’ hit franchise, “Spartacus,” Starz, LLC, President and CEO Chris Albrecht announced today.

McIntyre takes over the role of the Thracian warrior sold into slavery in the Roman Republic city of Capua – where he rises to become the champion of the city – before leading the slave revolt that ended Season 1. The part was played in the first season of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” by Andy Whitfield, who was forced to leave the show in order due to health issues. Whitfield gave his blessing to the recasting.

“Since no one can really replace Andy, we realized that we should instead find an actor who can truly lead ‘Spartacus’ forward,” Albrecht notes. “It was important to us to have Andy endorse the idea of recasting this part, which he did in the same heroic manner that he’s dealt with his whole ordeal. And that, coupled with our fortune in finding a young actor with the gladiator credentials and the acting ability of Liam, makes it easier for us to keep this hit franchise going.”

Liam McIntyre made his mark in his native Australia on such series as “Neighbours,” and “Rush.” He also appeared in the HBO mini-series “The Pacific.” He recently completed his first feature starring role in the independent film Frozen Moments. McIntyre is currently in New Zealand, getting himself into gladiator shape in order to take on that iconic role. Production on the series is slated to resume by Spring of 2011.

From the time “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” debuted on Starz in January, 2010, it established itself as an epic production with rich storytelling and visuals unlike anything seen previously on any TV show. Audiences responded immediately, making it the most-watched premiere in Starz’ history, and making the show the most watched cable program on nearly two-thirds of the Fridays it aired original episodes. Also starring John Hannah as Batiatus, Lucy Lawless as Lucretia, Peter Mensah as Doctore, Manu Bennett as Crixus and Viva Bianca as Ilythia, “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” was one of the most talked-about and best-loved TV shows of 2010. Season 2 of the series finds Spartacus and his fellow gladiators now out of Capua and engaged in the massive slave rebellion against Roman society that has echoed through time.

Personally, I am sad to know that Andy Whitfield will not be Spartacus, however, I fully support Starz as they continue the show with another actor.

We have to wait a while for Season 2 but at least we have God's of the Arena starting this Friday on Starz to hold us over.

In My Not So Stylish Opinion....

I am so far removed from style and could care less about what is in, or the most current fads so why am writing about the Golden Globes fashions? My answer, Why Not! Everyone else did.

Ann Hathaway - Looked amazing! Love the full coverage in front and va-va-voom....the back...wow! Hoping shoulder pads don't make a come back! She looks beautiful.

Scarlett Johansson - I like the color of Scarlet's gown. I love the softness of it. I didn't get the hair though! Looks like Bride of Frankenstein.

Lea Michele - Looked amazing. Her pink gown was stunning and glamorous. She looked like a princess!

Sandra Bullock - Who doesn't love Sandra? I really love the gown. All that sparkle. Nice! I didn't get the hair. She looks like a drowned rat.

Kyra Sedgwick - I am not sure if I like the color. What color is it actually? Is it yellow, orange, pumpkin? I have no idea but I do love her green earrings!

Emma Stone - I love Emma Stone (Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Super Bad, Zombie Land, and the only reason to watch The House Bunny). She looked beautiful. She looked glamourous and sleek, although someone should show her how to hold her shoulders. In this picture she is sporting the Angelina shoulder look.

Halle Berry - Does anyone care what Halle wears? Nothing can distract from her face. The top part of the dress was nice. The bottom? Uhhhh...where is the bottom? Looks like she decided to add a butt hider at the last minute. Could have done without the overlay.

January Jones - Put those cut out pieces back and you have a stunning gown on a beautiful lady. Her hair and make-up compliments the dress beautifully.

Natalie Portman - I am not sure how pregnant Natalie is but I thought she wouldn't be showing yet. If she is showing, this is the perfect dress. I love the color and the rose.

Michelle Williams - As a huge Michelle Fan, I thought she looked fab. Yes, the dress isn't sparkly, big, or tight but it is subtle, demure and different, like Michelle. She doesn't need to max out on color or cleavage to be special. I like the soft ruffles but wish the middle was tighter or the waist further down. It makes her look hunched over.

Angelina Jolie -  must have raided the racks from Dynasty. I swear I saw that gown on Krystal Carrington in the 80's. She looked stunning though I don't get the hair. Needs some softness around her face but look at that face!

Sofia Vergara - My girl crush looked amazing. Hello. Red hot siren.

Julianne Moore - I love the color but it looked like she got her napkin jammed up on her necklace before posing. Needed a steamer on the skirt. Without that weird top, the gown would have been amazing.

Olivia Wilde - Had the lucky job of presenting with Rob Pattinson. Love the chocolate dress. She looked amazing. Almost distracted me from the fact that Rob was on stage.

Jennifer Love Hewitt - I love Love! She is cute. Looks like she was wearing a shell. Beautiful. Wondering what I would see if I looked over her shoulder?

Rob Pattinson and his auburn hair! I don't need to write anything. You people know what I think about Rob!

Johnny Depp -  looks good! Duh! Love the suit. Would have liked the hair to look a little different. Looks like a young Mickey Rourke with that frizzy mess.

Did you Watch the Golden Globes last night?
I watched for 2 hours 35 minutes, basically, the amount of time it took for Rob Pattinson to present than I was out of there.

Does this look like Christina to anyone else? Her face looks very different to me. What do you think?
