Lea Michele Under Fire Yet Again!

Lea Michele of Glee is once again under fire from parent groups for March's sexy Cosmopolitan cover.

Really!? Give me a break.  She is a 25 year old woman who stars on a very popular TV show.  So why are the parent in an uproar? Good friggin question!

While I find it very entertaining and love watching it too, it is totally inappropriate, full of sexual situations, prejudice, and a slew of colorful one liners. Last season the show dealt with homosexuality, under age drinking, teen pregnancy, lying, stealing and cheating (not very kid friendly material is it!?)

Believe me! I get it. I love it too. But.....this is not a kid's show! The problem is that Glee appeals to the 14-45 age group and is unfortunately in the 8:00 a.m. timeslot.  This means, way too many parents who want to watch the show are watching it with their still awake children.  Parents, you should be parenting!

Lea Michele is not Disney Channels Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus or any other now slutty Disney star. She is a 25 year old woman, starring on an adult TV Show.

Get a grip. Stop blaming celebrities for your short comings as parents and more importantly stop watching shows like Glee and True Blood with your children.

Like check out this message from a mom:

“I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a ‘good girl’ on ‘Glee’ and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended,” said New York mom Kim Trefcer. “ I find it frustrating as a parent who is trying to teach right from wrong to their kids and then you have things like this happen which is showing middle schoolers things like sex sells and all that goes along with that.”

Umm....if you are trying to do the right thing and show your child right from wrong, is Glee the show with morals? Is Glee a show parents and children can watch together. No! It isn't! It is a well written, very funny, often provocative show peppered with fun, song and dance numbers. Just because the show is about a Glee club doesn't mean your child should be watching it, especially if your child is offended or confused by a picture on the cover of a woman's magazine.

Well, that is how I "C" it!
