Hit Girl to play Emily the Strange


Chloe Moretz has signed up to play counterculture heroine Emily The Strange in a film adaptation. The actress   played Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass and will next play a vampire in the forthcoming Let Me In, a US remake of the acclaimed Swedish horror movie Let The Right One In.

Emily the Strange first appeared on a sticker distributed at concerts, record stores and skate shops to promote Cosmic Debris, the clothing line founded by artist and skateboarder Rob Reger, racecar driver Matt Reed and Nathan Carrico back in 1991.

Emily the Strange is published by  Chronicle Books, Dark Horse Comics and HarperCollins.

Her facial features will work well and her serious face. Yet, I think they'll have to cut her some bangs or put a wig on her to get the strange hairdo effect in place.
