Brenda and Sonny Reuite on GH

Is there any readers out there that have been watching GH for the past 32 years. It is crazy to think I am watching a show older than some of my friends.

I got into General Hospital when I was 12 years old. My friend Shantel used to run from the bus to catch the last 40 minutes of the show. We knew not to bother her during that time. Soon enough, I was watching right along with her.

For the past three weeks the Brenda/Sonny build up as been escalating. Friday, they were in the same place at the same time. A gun is heard, Sonny and Brenda look up, eyes meet and they smile. I assume no longer worried about the gun shot. After everything these two have been through with shoot outs. You would think they would be hiding under a table.

Could Murphy have been shot? Does Brenda even care?

Is anyone else as excited about the Brenda dynamic and how it will play out in the Jax, Carly relationship, Jason, Sam relationship or Sonny and all his Port Charles woman. It is odd to think that Sonny has kids old enough to date Brenda at this point. Weird! When she left last time did he even have kids?

Hate that I am in a MUST see mode with GH at the moment especially with the kids back in school which means I won't get home until 3:45, leaving only about 8 minutes of the show left over.

2009's Last Chotskies Eye Candy

Eye Candy used to be one of my favorite parts of Chotskies however the last one I did was in April.

Because he starred in my dream last night, my last Eye Candy is: DOMINIC ZAMPROGNA

Don't know who he is?

Well, he plays Dante on General Hospital! I have watched GH since 1980 and they are always chock full of hot guys.

While I am a big Steve Burton fan

Steve and his sexy bod!

Dominic was so hot in my dream last night that I just had to search out photos of him today.

Normally, I am not attracted to short guys and didn't particularly care for "Dante" when he first showed up on GH. However, over the last few weeks he has grown on me, his hair, his bod, the gold chain, the smile, the dimples. his sexy eyes. Yummy.

Today I found out that Dominic has been on Stargate: Atlantis, Tru Calling, Blood Suckers, Supernatural, "The L Word", Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance , "SGU Stargate Universe" and 2012 (Fantastic Movie BTW!!!) and many more.

General Hospital Is Driving Me Crazy

There's a rumor circulating that General Hospital writers are going to test a possible relationship between Lucky (Greg Vaughn) and Rebecca (Natalia Livingston), which ought to set Nikolas Cassadine's (Tyler Christopher) teeth on edge.

It looks for the moment as if Lucky and his former wife Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) are reconciling. Whether or not the interest will be only on Rebecca's side is unclear. It could be that Lucky and Elizabeth, while sharing a deep love for one another as well as history, won't jump back into their husband/wife roles quickly. Elizabeth is still in love with Jason, and Lucky must still have feelings for Sam. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

While I don't know who this Rebecca chick is and how she will end up being related to Emily, I am looking forward to a little triangle. It would be interesting but it would also be interesting to see Claudia go head to head with Rebecca over Sonny! Sonny and Emily dated for a while so it could be an interesting twist.

The Return of Natalia/Emily Quartermaine?

Natalia Livingston (Emily Quartermaine) returns as someone named Rebecca. Does she have a connection to Emily? Only time will tell?

Beginning January 15, General Hospital (the building, and the show!) erupts into full blown crisis -- on a scale on par with past stories like the Metro Court hostage crisis, the train wreck, and the Port Charles Hotel fire. The residents of Port Charles are going to figure out pretty fast that every minute counts, because it could be their last. And yeah, that means death.

And since one impending disaster is never enough, look for tensions between Sonny and Jason to reach a fever pitch this week. They continue to provoke each other, while Claudia keeps playing them against one another -- and that's not even including role the FBI plays when they offer Jason Spinelli's freedom in exchange for Sonny's. Yep, Jason has to choose: Spinelli or Sonny.

All this, PLUS: Robin's post-partum depression worsens -- even as she and Patrick look to buy a new house next door to Elizabeth, Sam considers a new career path, Nadine takes on the U.S. government, and Carly might finally convince Jax their marriage is worth saving.

The Bachelor and General Hospital

Maxie and Spinelli of General Hospital (Kristen Storms and Bradford Anderson respectively) will be hosting the bachelor this season.

Jason and some of the bachelorettes will be treated to a behind the scenes tour with KS & BA.

Cool, I am so looking forward to this.

If you've never indulged in the guilty pleasure of watching a season of "The Bachelor", perhaps the next season is the perfect place to start. Why now? Because one of the infamous 'group dates' will be to the set of General Hospital! What could be romantic about visiting a soap set? Learning the techniques of screen kissing and acting out a secret fantasy, that's what!

This year's bachelor is Jason Mesnick, 32, a single father from Seattle. He made it to the final rose ceremony last season, only to drop on one knee and learn that he wasn't the chosen one. His luck is bound to change because this time around, he gets to do the chosing and he'll have twenty-five beautiful women to date in the process. In addition to the General Hospital
set visit, group dates will include private concerts from R&B singer Robin Thicke and pop star Kate Voegele, a Goodyear blimp ride over Los Angeles, and a romantic overnight date to New Zealand.

The date for the screen kiss lesson hasn't been released yet, but why not catch the entire season this time around? The premiere is on Monday January 5, 2009 at 8:00 PM (EST). Soaps.com will recap the set visit episode for you in case you miss it!

Woot! General Hospital Is Looking Good

Check out the Promo for General Hospital. Too funny, "the Russian's have taken Jake"!!!

Ahhh, Elizabeth shouting, "Jason, go get my baby!" gave me chills. They had better not hurt that baby! I've had about enough of kids being hurt on this show.

Another thing, why can't women on GH just have babies without knocking on Heaven's door?

I would never step foot in GH if I was a patient.

The Return of Mama Spencer

August 25th people.

Write it on your calendars, set your TIVO, Gene Francis is back again for sweeps. This time she is helping her daughter Lulu. I am so far out of the loop on GH these days. I have been watching since 1978 and haven't watched for the past two months.

I remember that Lulu killed her ex boyfriend Logan by hitting him in the head with something (isn't that how Laura ended up crazy? Didn't she kill Rick or someone by hitting them in the head with something?) Anyway, I digress, now she is seeing dead Logan and has been committed to the same psychiatric facility that her mom has been at for the past what 4 years now.

Genie Francis is returning to General Hospital in August 2008 to reprise her role as Laura Webber Spencer. Francis told the AP, "It's a mother-daughter story. Years ago when I started playing the character as a 14-year-old girl, it was a mother-daughter story, only I was the daughter. So it's kinda cool this is full circle. It's nice to come back for visits. General Hospital is my home." She continued, "I would stay on, but `General Hospital' honestly doesn't seem to want that relationship with this character at the moment," said Francis. "They want little short doses during sweeps periods. It's not entirely up to me. I'm thrilled and delighted my audience stands behind me. If they didn't, you can be sure I wouldn't get to come back for these visits.

Lu Lu Spencer is An Old Married Women

Cue the General Hospital theme....
Well not exactly.

Lu Lu, or her portrayer, 24 year old Julie Berman was married August 15th to some real estate broker dude named Michael Grady.

"Mike is my best friend, and ultimately he is my soul mate," Berman tells PEOPLE. "He's the guy I want to do everything with – the guy I want to be with when he's old and wrinkly."

Weddning Guests included GH co-stars Rebecca Herbst (who plays Elizabeth Webber), Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine), Greg Vaughan (Lucky Spencer), and Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) and her boyfriend, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus guitarist Elias Reidy, took home favors of fresh-baked scones and organic peach preserves.

Berman says she and Grady hope to start a family – someday. "I want little kiddies running around, but not anytime soon," she says. "I'd like some time to enjoy married life before the kids start coming." The couple, who were engaged in London on Cinco de Mayo 2007, will honeymoon in Hawaii next month. This is the first marriage for both.

General Hospital, Breaking Hearts, Kidnapping, Killing, Raping, And Lying to Baby's Daddys for 45 years

God damn, can you believe it? April 1st, General Hospital was 45 years old. Originally just a 30 minute show, popularity boosted it to an hour. Not bad for a little show about the 7th floor nurses station and the Chief of Internal Medicine.

The original cast
John Beradino; Dr. Steve Hardy, Chief of Internal Medicine
Tom Brown; Al Weeks
Robert Clarke; Roy Lansing
Carolyn Craig; Cynthia Allison
Craig Curtis; Eddie Weeks
Neil Hamilton; Philip Mercer
Allison Hayes; Priscilla Longworth
Lenore Kingston; Mrs. Weeks (She didn't have a name?)
Ralph Manza; Mike Costello
Emily McLaughlin; Jessie Brewer
Hunt Powers; Dr. Ken Martin
K.T. Stevens; Petty Mercer
Roy Thinnes; Dr. Phil Brewer

The only original actor still appearing occassionaly today is Audrey (Rachel Ames) who came onto the show in 1964 as Audrey March.

The city of the show was unnamed until the 70's when Port Charles was born.

Most of the story revolved around Steve Hardy and his friend nurse Jessie Brewer until Audrey arrived. She was a flight attendant who ended up marrying Steve 3 times. Jessie was disappointed as there had always been an air of sexual tension between her and Steve. It was never acted upon, as they remained close friends until Jessie (and actress Emily McLaughlin) died in 1991. Steve Hardy himself died five years later when his portrayer, John Beradino, died in 1996.

It wasn't until Leslie and Laura's storyline of a 16 year old Laura, upset that her older lover was using her to get to her mother kills him in a fit of rage. The storyline worked so well that Laura became the writers saving grace.

They built a love triangle around Laura, her boyfriend Scotty and Bobbi Spencer. This was the big build up to GH's biggest couple (all-time soap super couple ever), the crossing of Laura with Bobbi's brother Luke Spencer.

The pairing of Luke Spencer and Laura Webber would eventually become the most popular storyline in soap opera history.

Their November 16th and 17th, 1981 wedding was watched by about 30 million people, making it the highest-rated episode of a soap opera in American television history. They were so popular that even Elizabeth Taylor wanted in on the action, she guest-starred as Helena Cassadine and adorned People Weekly magazine with Francis and Geary. Luke and Laura's relationship was not without some controversy, as Luke had raped her in 1979. Laura was traumatized and went to counseling, but after her popularity with Luke flourished, she claimed the rape was "seduction." In 1998, the issue was revisited and Laura finally admitted to herself that Luke had raped her.

It should be noted that during Summer 1981, GH was averaging 14 million viewers per episode.

The show's focus began to drift away from the original hospital setting onto a series of action/adventure plots, most of which were highly successful with the show's audience. The introduction of the WSB spy agent Robert Scorpio (and later fellow agents Sean Donely and Anna Devane)led to several popular spy mysteries involving secret formulas, hidden treasures and world domination schemes. A few of these plots were widely considered preposterous, such as the 1981 storyline in which Luke, Laura and Robert saved the town of Port Charles from being placed under a deep freeze by maniacal Mikkos Cassadine.

Another far fetched storyline occurred in 1990 when Robin Scorpio (Robert Scorpio and Anna Devane's daughter) befriended Casey Rogers, an alien from the planet Lumina. Was this the dumbest soap idea ever?

The series also launched the media career of fitness instructor Richard Simmons, who frequently appeared as himself.

In the early 90's GH's biggest stars started leaving and it was at this point I was giving up on my dear soap. I underwent an appendix operation and was in the hospital for 5 days with nothing to watch so I tuned into GH for an hour. Thankfully Luke and Laura were returning from being "on the run" with their, hello, 10 year old son Lucky!

Since Beachers Corners, the return of L, L and L Spencer I have been again a faithful watcher.

Some of my favorite storylines were of:

The unfortunate death of Tony and Bobbie's daughter BJ. Tony gave the best performance.
Monica's breast cancer and friendship of Paige storyline and the subsequent adoption of Emily after Paige subcombs to cancer.

Stone and Robin - Need I say more?

Sonny and Brenda were the sexist couple on that show for me. Hot, hot, hot.

The first Carly stealing Tony from her mother. Crazy.

The Nurses ball! I loved it. Loved everything about it. Lucy and her crazy outfits. The actors singing and dancing. The drama.

Brenda, Sonny and Jax one of the greatest triangles on GH.

Brenda and Lois friendship. Loved it. Who didn't love Lois?

Lucky and Liz's early friendship and later love story.

Jason and Robin's love story.

Liz and Jason's friendship, respect and ultimately love.

Every Christmas at GH.

Sweeps weeks always brings along some alumi, train wrecks, building explosions, and shootings.

There was also a serial killer in the Quartermaine mansion one year. Then Holly brought a virus to Port Charles and it killed Tony Jones and Courtney Mathews. Let's not forget Alan Quartermaine dying during the "24" style bombing of the Metro Court.

God there have been so many great moments I can't imagine not watching this show for the rest of my life. Sad but true.

Highlights through the years
GH in the 60's
GH in the 70's
GH in the 80's
GH in the 90's

Is Diego the Text Messenger Killer on GH?

Ummm...interesting little twist. First I thought it was Maxie's boyfriend Cooper. Then I thought it was that weird guy from Kelly's. Now it turns out that it Diego Alcazar who is supposed to be dead.

I guess his stint on Ghost Whisper wasn't paying the bills.

Sonny and Claudia's stand off was just odd. Them standing with their guns aimed on each other for 20 minutes was exhausting.

Damn Michael's voice has changed. When he called Carly to tell her he was ok he sounded very much the teenager.

Alexis and Kate hanging out seems to have come from out of no where. I guess GH knew that she would need guests when she was layed up in the hospital after being shot so they created a friendship for her.

Diego tells Sam how as his father held his dying son he felt a pulse and how he acted quickly to save his son by hiring a fantastic surgeon.

Diego tells Sam that he had planned on killing Skye first but Laticia spotted him so he had to kill her first.

The text messages killer thing came about because his father had text him saying "I'm coming for you." He decided that after he killed Laticia he would let people know that they were going to be killed.

Sam is dumb. Why would she spend time trying to call someone after she hits Diego. Why not run out of there and then make the friggin call?

Sonny telling Claudia that she was a one night stand and her laughing in his face about him being whipped by Kate is too funny. Neither of them are saints.

Jason runs in and Claudia says, "hello handsome." Sonny asks if they know each other and Jason says not as well as you do. Hahaha....

I love the original Carly as Claudia. She is hot and rocks the tight mini dress like no one else.

Sonny needs to increase his meds and Jason needs to find another job. I am tired of him taking Sonny's bullshit.

Death falls on General Hospital Alumni

Shell Kepler I do and I am sad to hear that she passed away on February 1, 2008.

Shell played Amy Vining on General Hospital from 1979 - 2001 but came back for a second in 2004.

I have watched GH for more years than I care to admit.

General Hospital will pay tribute to Kepler with a special "In Loving Memory of Shell Kepler" scheduled to appear at the end of February 26th's episode. Until then check out this and this fan tribute on You Tube.

Also, David Groh who played D.L. Brock or Bobby Spencer's abusive husband from 1983-1985 has died.

Before David appeared on GH he was Rhoda's husband Joe from 1974-1977. He died on February 12, 2008 at the age of 68
