After writing this post I set up my own family planner. Here is what I found out:

It's so easy and convenient.

You assign a color for each person in your family

You make up a shopping list and can send it to your phone or another family member's phone or email.

You don't need to be savvy, this was super easy!

I love it. Now I just need to get the husband to sync to it and we are set.
